A repeat, basically, of a trip I did two years ago.

On Friday I just hiked up to the hut.

On Saturday Gwynna hiked up to the hut and we both did the Kinsmen. It was here first time on either peak. It started out cloudy but cleared up when we were on our way from North Kinsman to South Kinsman.

On Sunday I solo hiked to Cannon. I am now 0 for 4 on Cannon in terms of having views.

I was on crampons almost the whole trip.

For the past three years my friend Windy has organized a week long camping/hiking trip to Baxter State Park in Maine. Because I was saving up vacation days for the Long Trail I was never able to go before, but I made it for part of the week this year.

On Sunday I climbed both peaks of Katahdin, Hamlin and Baxter. The latter is the highpoint of Maine and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. On Monday I climbed the third 4000 footer of the park, North Brother. On Tuesday I hikes around some ponds and climbed Sentinel Mountain, a much lower peak.
